Here and there, many users are complaining about E90 firmware (currently 7.40.1.2, since October last year) requiring major update to improve system stability and to correct some unsatisfactory "features".
After long time waiting, this has become the kingdom of rumors, with many "scoops" alleging new firmware has been released in China, in India or so.
I even saw (not here, though) a post saying that Steve Litchfield has stopped using his Communicator until a better firmware is available.
As this site is some kind of worldwide authority for Communicator-related information, may I suggest the moderators to open a specific thread for this topic, just to settle a rumor-free reference? (Probably not much to say so far, as Nokia never discloses anything before it's ready-for-the-market, but at least we will know there is nothing new, instead of reading unconfirmed and vague news there and everywhere.)

oooh the n95 8gb has a new firmware on the horizon that it doesnt need. i'm really starting to get peed off now

Well it has been rumored and even to a degree confirmed by Steve Litchfield on this site that there is indeed a new Firmware on the way for the E90 that should be with us anytime now in April. It is claimed to be a big update as well and will include Flash Lite 3.0, the Web runtime engine for Widgets and i would imagine also Demand paging as that was included with those on the N95 8GB.
Having said that mine on 7.40 has no problems but obviously these improvements will just make it better and are of course welcome and hopefully soon now.

I've tried all the product codes under the 'can i update?' option on the NSU site and none of them show that an update is available......what product code do I need to change to?
