TomTom GO 520 error

Hi all,

Has anyone got any issues with thier TomTom devices, where bouts it establishes a bluetooth connection with the phone but when it tries to connect to the Plus services you get:

"could not connect to TomTom Plus services, pl check the wireless data connection on our mobile phone" error ..

I've contacted T-Mobile and they've confirmed my wireless data connection settings are fine.

I've contacted TT helpline but getting no responce 😞

I have a TomTom GO 520, V 7.840 and mobile Nokia N95

Apologise if this has been discussed before, if so please point me in the right direction ...

Thanks 😊

I had the same error (though with N82, 510 and O2) but here's what I did to fix it: may work for you as well.

after you go through tomtoms pairing process, turn off the tomtom and then in the phone, delete the pairing (tools->bluetooth->paired devices)

when you next turn on the tomtom and it tries to connect, the phone will ask for a passcode again. use 0000 and select yes when it asks for permission to connect. (this seems to recreate the pairing correctly)

at this point I could now connect to the plus services.

hope this helps

John
