No change on V15 update

6 replies · 3,023 views · Started 30 March 2008

having just updated to V15 for the N95 8GB via NSU without having to debrand my phone (i'm on o2) I can see no added programmes such as Video Editor or any change whatsoever. Apart from the fact that I have now lost the activation key for Spiderman - I may as well have stayed on V11. Can anyone enlighten me as to what changes I should be seeing if any? Thanks

NB: have already checked the sticky and seen what changes there were to V15

Ahh I see there's nothing for v15. I don't have an 8Gb one myself so couldn't comment. However I took the liberty of fishing out the v11 -> v15 changelog for you. Hopefully it'll be of help.

If you don't notice any of these changes, maybe a reflash is in order. It could also be that maybe o2 have removed certain features, cos that's what some providers do for some reason. It could be that you may have to change your product code to a generic one and reinstall the firmware. Could someone on o2 with the 8Gb model confirm for baconroll if these apps are included in the o2 v15 firmware?

Thanks Zxon this was most helpful of you.

I think your right - certain features might have been removed because of O2, I noticed that this was the case on my N95-1 when I updated. I had to revert to the generic code then reinstall firmware before I saw the changes. I might do this - however I shall wait a bit first to see if anyone answers who also is on O2. Cheers.

There is'nt actually a video editor program what you open up with a icon. It's built into the gallery etc you get a edit option in the options when you have a video hilighted it enables you to merge video's change sound ,add text or cut the clip
None of the changes in v15 are that visible you really need to look hard to notice them.Apart from the Flashplayer and being able to play flash videos in browser

Thanks - at least you've cleared up the video editor mystery for me, just couldn't find it anywhere
