AT&T's change to Blackberry Internet Service

Anyone here use AT&T's BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) with their 9300?

I just got a message from AT&T that they are automatically upgrading my BIS to version 2.4 and no longer allowing web access to your mail.

The problem is that they are not upgrading the BIS drivers for the 9300.

A year ago when they came out with the upgrade (from 1.8 to 2.4) which is supposed to make BIS more secure and add functionality), they didn't accommodate the 9300, so we 9300 users were left with the old 1.8.

Now that they are phasing out version 1.8, I don't think that we'll have ANY BIS functionality with the 9300 through AT&T.

Anyone else know differently?

It may be time to change phones (and maybe carriers)?

Going through old threads (mining for gold!) I noticed that I didn't achieve closure with this one.

After repeated comments on this forum and AT&T's they managed to make an accomodation in the new Blackberry Internet Service for the 9300.

It works the same as it did before--even a little faster. 😊

I just wish that there was some update to the Blackberry message viewer for certain filetype attachments.

I did a little poking around "behind the curtain" and it looks like it might be possible to extract file attachments from an incoming message and then handle them in another application.
