Just a quick mini review/endorsement for this excellent gadget.
I've always wanted to go bluetooth for music listening ever since the N73 got the A2DP upgrade in its firmware. But after the huge disappointment of the Nokia HS-12W which in theory looked excellent but (with my N73 at least) proved a pairing/connecting/streaming/LCD data loss nightmare) I went back to wires for a bit.
I tried an Nokia AD-41 headset but IMO there was not enough power even for the supplied HS-20 phones, let alone for my Bose triports - another disappointment.
So I stuck to my Boses and a two quid ebay pop port adapter.
Until... I spotted this tiny little beauty on ebay. There's loads for around £11, and they look like the iPod shuffle. I took a gamble and bought one after reading the one review I could find on david.zakar.com and I'm glad I did.
The sound is loud and clear and the range is amazing. I left the phone in my kitchen and I could walk from room to room and still get decent strong unjittery streaming sound. The HS-12W by comparison stuttered if I had the phone in my pocket.
The earphones provided are pretty basic with no foam pads. But I was expecting that anyway and was intending to use my Boses with them. I haven't tried them as yet, as they are 200 miles away at my mums (!) but even with the HS-20s the sound is incredibly powerful.
It has (almost) full AVRCP support (the skip button when held doesn't FF/RW but instead activates voice dialling and the volume indicator isn't displayed on the phone screen) but.. good enough.
Pairing is a doddle and connecting/disconnecting flawless everytime. Within 20 seconds you can have your music in your ears.
It comes with a USB charging cable which plugs into a UK AC adapter for wall charging. It charges throught the headphone socket so the only downside is you can't listen at your PC while charging, but that's only a negligible minus. It keeps the ports on the module to a minimum.
It clips to your clothing and you can take/make calls as well as listening to your music. Also supplied is a single mono earpiece.
For the money, it's fantastic. You tend to have misgivings about Hong Kong/Far Eastern stuff from ebay but I recommend this fella 100%! Tiny, powerful and cheap - unbeatable (a fraction of the price and size of the Nokia BH-500 - and better looking too).
Hope this endorsement is of some use, as I couldn't find any reviews on the product when I bought one, certainly not from the sound point of view.
Cheers
Chris 😊
