HS-45, AD-54 music headset and E90 - not compatible?

Alternatively does anyone know how to get technical support from Nokia? I've looked over their site but it just keeps saying contact your local dealer, I've logged a post in their forum (and various others) with no response, the seller has no response....starting to get a little frustrating. I'm guessing it can't be compatible hence no-one seems to know of the combination.

Don't ever rely on the Nokia website for accurate information....you need HS-44, AD-44..this has the 2.5mm adaptor to fit E90

I've bought this and it seems to only have a 3.5mm jack which won't fit the E90, is this headset actually compatible?

Thanks,
John

Why don't you just get a 2.5mm -> 3.5mm jack adapter and see for yourself if it is indeed compatible. The wiring on those 3 pin jacks are different for every manufacturer. Some has the first 2 as the stereo output, and the last as a mono mic input, while some others configure it differently. Maybe what Nokia meant on their site is that it has the same pin configuration as the E90, and therefore the headset will work provided you have an adapter.

I have had headsets which will only output one line (left earphone) when plugged in to the E90. Neither the mic, nor the right earphone works (coz they are reversed obviously)

Hope that helps
