Is this kind of sticks compitable with the p800? Or does it have to be ordinary memory stick duo�s?

For now it is not compatible (according to the latst whitepaper of january 2003, which you can download here). It has been suggested that if you format the MemoryGate MS, that you can use it as a normal one, but I have not heard anything about experiences with that.
U can use the Memory Stick Duo Magic Gate with the P800. The whitepapers says that th Copy Protection Feature of the Magic Gate Memory stick Duo is not supported by the P800 it doesnt say that the Memory stick Duo Magic Gate itself is not compatible. Thats as what the whitepaper is concerned. No one I know tried it however but it should not be a problem according to facts.

Guess you're right, attached is a fragment of the latest whitepaper, I read it again, and it clearly states the MG-protection is not supported!
