Ebay item.....370024488512

I would like to make it clear, that i have no affiliation with seller, other than to have bought two of these, and recommended mount to my friends.

It's great, although it's not fancy with power and speaker, what you can do is access all the side buttons, and rotate it easily, so when you stuck in a jam, at least you can watch a film !

Also i didn't notice it immediatley, but there is an adjustable wheel on the back of it, so you can set it to exacly the angle you want.

Well worth the 6 or so i spent

looks very good - thanks.
Just worried about the holding clips damaging the exterior of the N95 ?
Also, is the suction part actually good at holding on ?

I wouldn't trust a suction holder for two reasons:
1) A friend of mine had one which fell off and his phone landed on the gear knob and the screen cracked!
2) The suction mark attracts thieves as it's often a satnav unit. Even if you take the phone out with you, a broken window is always a pain (pane? :biggrin😊

Suction mount holds it steady, although in my runaround Fiesta, it does shake about a bit on poor road surfaces, in the family renault however, it's fautless.
No marks on phone either.

As for thieves, i can see your point, i'm quite lucky where i live, not really been an issue.
I don't actually lock my Fiesta, i'd rather a thief open my car and realise there's F**k all in it !

Of course, hubby would pitch a fit if i did that with the Renault....LOL

Not for a phone mount cos it's there and they can clearly see no phone in it. It's the suction mark on the window that makes them think there may be a tomtom in the glovebox. I guess you could just leave the thing mounted permanently though

golden rule - always leave your glovebox open

Exactly why I bought on that attaches to vents. Always a chance some muppet is going to mistake it for a satnav cradle, but its better than a ring around the screen.

I've had a suction mount for years and never had an issue. Leave it in as it is clearly a cheapo phone cradle and not a TomTom. All this "burglars look for suction rings" is a big old urban myth. The vast majority of burglars are opportunists and will only go for something they can be certain of.

Thanks for the heads up on this one Riverboat, I was looking for a better fitting mount as the one I have obscures the charger point and we all know how important power is on the N95 😉

Good to hear your happy with yours, ive had 2 of these exact same ones from a different seller, and both of them the suction clip ended up smashing in different places when attaching it and detaching it - so I have orderd this - 360039524768

The reason why i recommended these where, that having had cheapo vent ones, and a few suction ones, is that when i tighten the mount on the phone, they nearly always press on one of the side buttons, opening up the gallery !

The exact reason I am looking for one (as well as obscuring the power socket) 😊

Ive had one of these for a few months now and they are excellent 😊

The suction is very strong and it has never fallen off. The phone slips in and out easilly and it rotates as well so I can watch TV in landscape (Slingbox)

The only issue with it is vibration, the arm wobbles unless you wedge it up against the dashboard.

Well, I went for the holder that riverboat recommended and the item was deliverd promptly. Total cost was 7.59 inc shipping so a very affordable unit.

Whilst this holder holds the firm firmly in place it suffers from two very minor problems. Firstly, the cradle obstructs the slider in a way that needs you to ease the phone over a smidgen to get it to open. No major issue, but mildly inconvenient. It does allow access to all buttons and eliminates the problem I have had when using generic "universal" holders that depress the camera and gallery buttons when you clamp them in.

The other issue is that the goose neck arm is not sufficiently sturdy enough for it's length and the weight of the phone, resulting in serious vibration. I ended up having to lower the angle of the arm so the cradle rested on the dash. Again, not a major thing, but inconvenient nonetheless. Up until now, I have been using a generic gooseneck, but the arm was very stiff and whilst it remained pliable, it reduced vibration considerably, so this was a disappointment.

So I looked at the cradle that liv3wire recommended which was a bit pricier at 22.98. This looked sturdier with the rigid mount but I was put off by the price and the "exposed" nature of the mount.

I eventually plumped for this....

The real deal, genuine Nokia HH-12 and CR-96. I got it for 31.90 delivered and it is simply the best phone holder I have had. It's solid, the phone fits in perfectly and it looks the buisness. Worth the little extra.

The item can be found HERE and I can thoroughly recommend the seller, Rotatronic Ltd.

For 1 more you can get the same mounts as posted on post 1 of page 1, but with a car charger also.

For N95 item no. 110244595618

For N95 8gb item no. 120244839322

As for concerns with window mounts, I have got a mini with very firm suspension and I have had no issues with mine what so ever. Holds the phone fine and the phone has never launched out of the cradle.
