Is everyone's media key still so fretful on V21?

I have upgraded and found the media key to work until restored my settings/contacts from my restore file.

Also I have found that my settings lock code hasn't been restored. Apparently the default code is 12345 but after putting in my 'new code' it says code error. So it turns out I can't securely lock my keypad when it's been idle. Any ideas?

default code is 00000 or 0000 i thought.

did you backup and restore your system settings? that's something that the sticky on the top of this fourm says is a bad idea,i did that and couldn't use half my phone, had to do the full system reset and just reload my contacts and that without the system settings.
