Nokia 6680 Software Problem

Hi guys, long time. My Nokia 6680 has been acting up recently, so I took it to a Nokia Care Shop. There, I was informed that the phone's operating software had been corrupted, and would need to be reinstalled. To do this they asked for about $40. Nuts to that, I says, and walks out in a huff. Afterall, if I can't fix this problem on the internet, then we are all doomed...😊

Does anyone have a link to a site from which I can download the software, and are there any special tools I would need?

Thanks.

First try hard reset.
It's done by switching the phone off(make sure the battery is atleast 75% charged). Then press and hold "call" and "*" and "3" key simultaneously while turning the phone on.DO NOT RELEASE ANY OF THE KEYS UNTIL THE PHONE TURNS ON AND ASKS FOR "SELECT COUNTRY".Your phone will be reset. Not working?? Try this:-
Download NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER from the nokia website
Connect phone to charger and start charging.
Install Updater on your computer.
Connect phone to system and start update process(follow instructions as they appear.
In case your firmware is upto date, then opt for reinstallation,as the NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER will ask you.
Wait 30min depending on your internet connection.
Disconnect only after the updater tells you to.
Cheers
