Speakerphone Mode confusion and wants...

I like the speakerphone feature on the P800, but I find it confusing as well. And it seems crippled - for instance, it seems you can only set the phone to "speakerphone" during an active call by hitting the volume icon while in a call.

Yet you can also have "voice answering" which will respond even if the phone is lying on the table and you speak your magic word(s), but the phone will remain in "phonecall" mode.

Maybe I missed something - is there a way to set the phone in speakerphone mode all the time? a way to set it before a call is placed?

What I'd really like is the ability to do this: I'm typing away on the notebook computer, and I gotta call one of my coworkers or home or something - so without picking up the phone, I say my magic word, then their name, and poof - instant speakerphone mode.
