when trying to connect 2 p800 phones Via Bluetooth it dose not connect or recognise the other, how can this be solved so that 2 p800s can send files to one another.

Are the two phones' BlueTooth set to "Discoverable" or have they been paired to one another?

You really can't see the other phone (and vice versa) if they are not set to "discoverable" or aren't paired.

I just came from a meeting of the Philippine Palm Users' Group, where files were sent and received between multiple devices of different OS's, including but not limited to:

Palm m505
Palm m515
Palm Tungsten|T
Sony Clie T615C
Sony Clie T665C
Sony Clie NR70V
Sony Clie NX70V
Sony Erisccon P800
XDA

There weren't any problems, so I don't think yours is a hardware problem...
