N95 8GB USB Modem broken after new NSU update?

Basicly what the title says. I'm using my N95 8GB as my main internet connection for the PC so it's a real bugger. Using Vista Ultimate x64.

So here's what happened:

Heard there's a new firmware for the 8GB. Went ahead and fired up NSU, which was then immediately requiring to update itself. So that's what I did, only to find out few minutes after that the whole Nokia USB modem had gone broken. After the update, I plugged in the USB cable and windows started to update the cable drivers. This is where the problem is. Windows now asks for CDC Comm Interface drivers, which I obviously don't have. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the whole Nokia software, but nothing seemed to help. I went looking around in Device manager, and found 3 devices that needed installation of drivers. CDC Comm Interface, COM5 and an unknown device.

Didn't bother to mess around with it for too long, so I used Acronis to restore my PC to earlier time, and now everything is working fine again. I still want to be able to use NSU though, so I would be more than glad to find a solution to this problem. Anyone here had any similar experiences with Vista 64 and NSU?

Any ideas?

Cheers in advance.

[I]f you'd just righ-clicked and selected 'update drivers' for the unknown devices it would have found them and installed them no problem. When updating my N95 I hit upon a similar problem, though this time it didn't insta;ll ANY drivers. Just go ahead and re-install and if your modem doesn;t show properly the update drivers option should work fine

last time this happend to me i uninstalled the nokia pc suite and NSU and reinstalled then it refound the drivers the 1st time i connect it again.don't understand why it did not reinstall your drivers after you reinstalled software
