Since i've upgraded the firmware on me n95 the internet has turned to shite!
it's a bloody miracle if i can connect via wifi - i've tried several locations that worked pre-update. and if it does connect, more often than not i'll get a web gateway timeout error.
anyone else seeing this/have any ideas
ta,
Dave
Yeah me too (although only to v20, not v21). I think it may have something to do with a setting I tweaked in connection advanced options but I can't for the life of me remember what it was! 😞
you need to disable the power saving mode.
i asked the same question some time ago

Hmm, think I tried that last night and it didn't work though I wasn't really paying much attention. Will give it another shot tonight!

Tried that. Phone restarted. "Web: No gateway reply". *sigh*
wlan settings
long retry limit: 4
short retry limit: 7
rts threshold: 2347
tx power: 100
power saving:disabled.
Any more ideas anyone. I was fine prior to latest firmware, and i've factory reset aftrwards too...

Open network, restricted MAC. Also, completely open unrestricted network elsewhere.
Google. BBC. Big sites. Working fine from laptop on same WLAN.
so you have allowed your MAC address on the router?
and it doesn't work at all on the unrestriced network?
to me it sounds like dodgy wifi.
sounds odd, i had to disable power saving beforehand to get it to work with any router i had. now with power saving on it works a treat.
as it happens, had the wireless on for SIP phone usage yesterday and the battery only dropped two bars =/

Yup. MAC address not changed and is listed as an allowed MAC address on the router.
Occasionally works on both my MAC restricted network and an open network of a relative. But only occasionally.
But it worked a treat before the f/w upgrade. That's what's frustrating...
