N95 8gig please help

Hi guys.

I hate my first post to be a begging letter but I do hope to contribute into the future...

I have a N95 8 gig on vodafone Ireland running V11.0.0.26. I am not by any means an expert in the field of mobile phones so should I forget trying to change the product code and update?

Are the warning more or less "disclaimers"? Or is it really not a job to take on?

Again thanks,

greg

it was fairly easy to change the code and then to just let Nokia Updater to update it.

the pain is reinstalling EVERYTHING!

Thanks Casperuk. I think I will just leave it. Haven't a notion how to back stuff up let alone reinstall it. Dont wanna cock the phone up

there is a nokia tool that is apart of the nokia software thats on the CD.

it's just takes time reinstalling all your apps.

I would advise you to go for it...

I too had no idea what to do about a month ago, since then i've updated my firmware twice from v11 to v15 and now v20. It is very simple, just use one of the step-by-step guides posted on the forum if you need to change your product code.

There is a v15 update for Vodafone if you want to do a straight forward upgrade or change product code using NSS and update to V20
You don't need to back up your stuff if you dont mind typing in all phone numbers and installing games and stuff again
