more conventional ringtones ...

Do your own "business" style ringtones (no idea what those would sound like 😃 )
If you mean those boring default tones on every phone, there are so limited
arrangement of notes that dont get nice & wild, so that I think that every
boring ringtone there is has been done allready. 😃

Here's an idea. Take any other phone or gadget with a ring tone you like. Even if it is the wistle of your tea kettle. Record that sound into your computer and send it to the P8. There you are, nice coustum made ring.

I don't know if oyu can actually record directly into the phone a sound and then use it as a ring tone. Something like my wife screaming Pick up the phone or so.

Use your own voice record as your ringtone or you can download it from internet for a better one. If possible record all the name in your phone list into a individual wave file then attach them into their individual profile. This way, you can know who is calling even without looking at the phone.
Be creative and if you want a simple solution then look for a pre-record sound file use by other application. Like...I'm using the sound file from GETRIGHT (Rachel voice), it sound very sweet and nice.

The P800 can also use IMY files from the T68i...and they sound a lot better on the P800. You can download IMY (iMelody) files from the net, or from SE's WAP site... go to the page for the T68i

Great idea chtan i like the idea of recording people's names but what about when your girlfriend calls while you are with your girlfriend!!
Not a good idea with my luck, and for those of you out there who know what i am talking about ,DON'T use the photo caller id! even worse!

Ok, another solution for you. Just give her a nice nickname like...monkey, chimp or .....ha ha you know.

Or even better, use her name BUT download an immage from National Geo...
You know, one of those girls that through their breast over their whoulders, or a ninety six year old dessert granny with a face to prove it.

Then I guess you can brag about your travels aroound the world...

called me old-fashioned, but polyphonic or any such ringtone is banned from my office....
