I think the app is on the phone memory do all the games go on it too? wont take long to fill the memory if that is the case.

When you install ngage you should install it on Mass Memory and then select Mass Memory when downloading games as shown here:-

I think what you are referring to is the "teaser" that comes with the firmware and appears on the Menu.

I believe so.
If you go into App. manager you should see N-Gage Install if there's a memory card icon next to it then it's Mass Memory. Alternatively select Options and View details.

yeah its on phone memory. Did you use nseries pc suite to install or just send the file to your phone. I used nseries pc suite and was not given the option.

ill remove it then and try sending it to my phone using bluetooth and see if it gives me an option. Did it give you the option with the n gage program as well?

from ngage site
"Method 1: Install Using PC Suite Mode

If you do not yet have PC Suite installed on your computer, click here. PC Suite is a software program that will help you easily install mobile applications on your device.

Start PC Suite on your PC.
Connect your device to your PC using a USB cable.
Select PC Suite Mode in the dialog box on the device.
Click the Get Connected button on PC Suite and follow the on-screen directions to enable the connection to your device.
Click the Install Applications icon on PC Suite.
Follow the on-screen directions to transfer and install the N-Gage application (.sisx) file from your desktop to your device. Be sure to select 'Mass Memory' or 'Memory Card' from the drop-down menu when choosing a destination on your device.
Start the N-Gage application on your device by clicking the N-Gage icon in the Applications folder.
Now you're ready to Create a Player Name and visit the Showroom.
"

see it says install into mass memory.

I have tried every way possible to do this yet it does not give me the option. I have used pc suite, bluetooth direct to phone and data transfer mode direct to mass memory but when it installs it goes to phone memory. I can tell by checking in the app install log.
Any ideas?

Well, according to my App. Mgr, N-Gage has been installed to the phone memory, not the memory card. N-Gage works fine.

Ah, sorry, I didn't see you were using an N95 8GB ! :banghead:

So, when you install a game, are you not given a choice as to where you want to install it ? On my N95 Classic, it asks me whether I want it on Phone Memory or Memory Card.

ive only got the free Fifa 08 and yes it did ask me where i want to install it. So I put it on the mass memory. However as for the N gage app itself it never asked me..?

Also I don't see Fifa 08 listed in app manager anywhere at all. I notice with n gage loads of weirdly named files appear in app manager, they dont keep them simple like Fifa.08.sis do they?

Like I said, I believe that the actual N-Gage app has to be on the phone memory, therefore it won't give you an option. Yes, N-Gage also installs other little bits and bobs, however all my games do show up in App.Mgr.
