Hi well I managed but my nokia hung after
20 mins of gprs and is now chez nokia sav
but in those 20 mins the nok raelly came alive and surfing was a pleasure......
I used extended internet from psiloc
http//www.psiloc.com/nokia/eng/emessaging/index.html
and remote link from the same
to hook up to (by IR ) my motorola
T280 (not my choice the T280 but its the only GPRS machine available here in france
and I got it free as a beta tester from
orange dot fr )
In my postings in this forum I did not mention the software used as I was not sure why my nok died software wise .
I now know that the psiloc progs were not the cause as I have used the motorola on my laptop as well .......same problem but I had a recent backup so only lost a couple of hours
I have reported the prob to Motorola via orange.fr apparently I am not the only person to have this problem its something to do with the IR drivers so I am waiting for a cable (and my nok to come back )
so yes it can be done but backup first and
not to pc (I had 5 backups to pc and not one would reinstall correcxtly )but to memcard.
