N95 to N95 8gb question

Hi

Currently have N95 on Orange and going to N95 8gb on 3. To transfer all contacts, pics etc from original N95 can i just backup to my 128mb micro card then put into new 8gb and restore?

If not what what would be the simplest way please?

Thanks

If you are keeping both phones, there is a util on the phones that lets you transfer the data via bluetooth.

ok thanks, all in one go tho?

yes you can select what content you want to transfer and it works perfect. its nokia's little utility for nokia to nokia phone transfers, and works great.

Cant it be done with 6131 -> N95 8gb, and how to do that (where can I find that on nokia 6131).
My other concern is when upgrading mobile software, backup data often crack to restore on new fw (as I read).
Is there a secure way (how to manual) for successful restoring of all data?
Thanks in advance!

well i still have my 6131 but i never tested the transfer function. i am not sure that nokia s40 phones can do this. i have done it from n75 to n95 which are both s60 phones.

i would try this: run the transfer app on the n95. then have it connect to bluetooth devices, so it searches for them. have the 6131 bluetooth turned on, and maybe the n95 will find the phone and know what to do with it😊 its your best chance. or just connect the 6131 to the computer, transfer contacts, then maybe see if its possible to transfer them to the n95. or use outlook for this too maybe...
