Help!!
Have you heard of 'symbiansigned'!!!!!
Basically you are trying to install a file that does not have a certificate, which you need as the symbian UI has strict security (however this security has been broken and hacked to some degree, and makes signing an application a little easier)
My guesses are that you have not heard of this, and do not have a certificate and key from symbiansigned, which you need.
Are are two ways to get a certificate and key.
Firstly go to the symbian signed website and then the open signed bit. Follow the instructions and hopefully it will work.
I say hopefully as all applications that have open UID will work. Most of the new programs coming out should be open UID as they are aware of the new restrictions with symbiansigned, however some of the old applications will not work.
If you are trying to install an older application I have heard lots of people from various forums getting a there own developer certificate costing 200, which means you can sign ANY SIS/SISX application from symbiansigned.
Or on the other hand I have heard of a chinese website, who have somehow managed to produce a certificate and key for you, which last time I was aware was free of charge, however you had to most your IMEI out there on the net.
Once you have certificate or key, by either paying 200 or from the chinese website, there are loads of PC applications that will 'sign' the application and apply the certificate for you. Then it will install for you.
Google symbian signed/signing application etc and you should find all the information out there to do it.
Or get back to me, and I will be able to guide your through the whole process step by step.
Hope this helps
first of all, go into
"App Manager" --> "Options" --> "Settings"
and make sure "Software installation" is set to "All"
and "Online Certificate Check" is set to "Off"
