N95 8GB - Totally Messed up - help needed

1 replies · 2,211 views · Started 22 April 2008

Hi
I have a totally messed N95 8gig.
Please help me clear the mess....

I recently upgraded to the V20 and It has totally messed up my phone.

All the application i installed previously is not working.

Why does this happen?

Everytime i start the phone or connect/disconnect USB for mass storage, I get a Installer running for quite long time and at end it says, unable to install from mass memory. Dunno whats been installing....

Why does this happen? How do i get rid of this.

(I have restored from backup taken just before upgrading.. so contacts and messages and themes preserved)

i want to clear all the memory, including the phone and mass memory and install the application fresh from start.

How do i do a complete format? I want to back up my contacts, calender events, messages and themes. Where do i find them in the Mass memory?

How do i format the phone memory? If I format/restore.. will my firmware upgrage be lost?

Awaiting replies...eagerly

Sounds like TomTom's unable to install.
Reregister it.
Never restore Settings from a backup.
In PCSuite, backup your calendar, contacts and notes to Outlook, then reverse Direction post-reformat.
Hard reset using *#7370#
Shift contacts, etc back from Outlook in PCSuite.
