Can not install applications cos the application installer is still open!?

Dear All

I've got a problem which I couldn't find in this forum yet. When I try to install any application, the Nokia Application Installer tells me after transfering the App to my N73 that "The application installer is running already on your phone. Finish to install the earlier version first" (sorry this is translated from the German version and therefore not as it is in originally english).

I didn't install anything. In fact this problem appeared after I reseted my mobile.

I did the 3 finger format already, started my PC and it didn't help.

What to do? My mobile is blank and I can't install anything!

did you encounter this just after your reset? If so, this means that the installer detected the previously installed apps from your memory card.. You will have to wait til it finished loading them to your new resetted system.. You'd have to wait til it finished processing them.. Most of the apps would not probably run so i suggest to reinstall them again in your mem card..

There are no programs on the memory card either. I deleted them manually. Also when I put the card in and restart it doesn't say anything about installing. If I look in the application manager it also doesn't say anything about NOT INSTALLED apps.

But I found out that even after the error message I can install most of the files manually. I just go with the file manager in "Installed Files" folder and from there is usually can install it.

Anyway, that not the way it's supposed to be. Anybody an idea how to solve? Is there something more than a normal format?

Woah I guess haven't experienced that before.. But if you think that the phone's system is messed up (even with a new format) i think you should try formatting it again using your latest or 2ND latest backup.. Just make sure your battery is all full..

So in that case I just can go back to version 3.0.7...something or leave my mobile fucked up!? In any case it will be fucked up since 3.0.7 is awfully slow.

Well done NOKIA...well done!
