hi, i have obtained my NUC from vodafone complete with NUC Procedure for me W960i

1. Remove the Vodafone SIM from the handset. Replace the battery and switch on. 2.Use the scroll key on the left hand side of the device and scroll down then press the * key twice and then scroll down again 3. Network appears on screen 4. Then select YES . 5. NCK will appear key in NUC and Yes , phone should then be unlocked.a set of instructions.

At which point do you scroll Down ** Down ?
When i tried it at the insert sim screen all that happend was 'ME depersonalized' flashed up and i could not enter the code.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My best advice would be to just take it into a Vodafone shop. I know it may be a cop-out, but the staff member there not only unlocked my phone for me, but even told me how to de-brand it.

When I received my NUC code, I got similar instructions to you. (remove SIM, start the phone, enter a combo of * and jog wheel shifts, select NCK....

...however, with the SIM out of the phone, it would not allow me onto the network screen, saying "Please insert SIM", with the SIM inside the phone, I could get NCK 2, and NCK 3. Both times, it failed to recognise the code & I was left with 3 more attempts. (You need NCK 1 to enter the code into)

Mind you, I was quite surprised when I found out my phone was already unlocked! The Vodaphone staff member told me that the little padlock icons by the networks were all unlocked, meaning that the phone itself was unlocked already.

Have a look yourself, and if the little padlocks look like they're unlocked, try starting up the phone with a different SIM card and see what happens. 😊
