help with weird wireless keyboard / bluetooth problem

Hi all,

i recently bought an iGo bluetooth keyboard to use with my N95. I set it all up and it worked fine for the first few days.
I was able to connect using both the iGo app that came with it, and also the N95's native 'wireless keyboard' app. Both worked 100% fine.

I then had no cause to use for a while and now when i try to use it I am having the following problem:

When starting up the N95's native wireless keyboard app, the screen blanks out and starts sort of flashing, as if it's caught in a loop of trying to start a process. The flashing can be interrupted by hitting the right soft key repeatedly, and eventually you get a message saying 'bluetooth keyboard in use' [when clearly it isn't]

The iGo app just sits there saying 'waiting to detect bluetooth keystrokes'

very frustrating - any suggestions?

no.

however, even with the keyboard switched off and in another part of town, when i turn on the bluetooth on the phone, and start up the wireless keyboard app exactly the same thing happens.

So i guess the problem is occurring on the handset, rather than the keyboard

:con?

1. Check the batteries of the keyboard.
2. Reinstall the iGo software. 3. Re-pair from the iGo software. The drivers are quite fussy and don't like the Nokia BT app. Leave it well alone. Once paired, you don't need to do anything else but switch BT on when you want to use the keyboard. Then just a key press will get them "talking" together.

Just my suggestions.

ok - thanks.

i reinstalled the stowaway app and repaired the device, and this has worked.
It seems to native wireless keyboard app has completely spazzed out, even though at first it worked fine

thanks for everyone;s suggestions 🙄

what did i say the other day, symbian phones have a mind of their own. For some reasons they just go wrong with no reason behind it. Mines done weird things a few times.

do you have?
I had bluetooth issues with firmware versions prior to v21.x.x on the 95-1 .. random bluetooth connectivity .. even calls being made .. all now thankfully fixed with v21

In fact I haven't installed the iGo driver on this version.
Maybe consider removing the iGo driver from yours?😊
