Promoting the N-Gage Platform, the Rights and Wrongs

Excellent idea. I agree that Snakes would be a perfect reference game for the new N-Gage platform. Especially as Fifa '08 doesn't appeal to everyone - sure it looks nice, but I think it's not the title that somebody new to the platform can play for half a minute and then say "great game, can I also install N-Gage on my device?". The game's just too complex for that.

As you said, it would be great if Snakes would be available for free and heavily promoted. That way, there is no risk in trying the N-Gage platform (you're more likely to test it if you get something for free than if you just get a demo). It shows how easy it is to download games through the client and will make people want to download and then buy more games.

Additionally, it'd be a better promotion for N-Gage than the free Fifa 08 giveaway. Apart from the issues with the game itself as you wrote, the execution could have been a lot better. The way it is, people who already bought the game are most likely angry, as well as all those countries which are not included in the promotion - making the whole giveaway contraproductive for promoting a global, connected gaming platform.
