Hey
a few weeks ago i updated my n95 8gb from v 15 to v20 from changing product codes and everything that

i done a total full back up of my n95 8gb
so the backup was about 5gb big ,

so anyway route 66 was installed allready and that got backup and so did someother applications but not all of them came back showing instaled.

now when i try to install route 66 it said resource files not found which is annoying.

is there another gps software i could use

also with the ngage , well the modern one which is iconed blue won't even start and the old one dose but won't let installations begin.

also i have the ngage.sisx on my phone the latest ngage and when i go to install it it dose the ngage installer but after that it sais file not found which don't make sense

please i will definatly appreciate all help , thankyou

You can install route66 via the software you got when you bought it.

Why you would want to use another satnav software when you have already *bought* one I dont know.

no i updated and backup my phone with route 66 now route 66 wasn't backup when i updated my phone and when i try to install it now it sais resource files not found..

IMHO it doesn't matter how the program arrived. If you have installed it once, you can install it again, as long as you still have the original installer. That's not the problem here.

The problem is that we STILL keep on trusting the backup/restore process, even though it have been proved to fail a gazillion times. Both of the above issues are well known results of a bad restore.

Backup's are for the situation where you are stranded with a dead phone in the middle of nowhere. Restore the backup to get you through the day and do a clean install when you get home, because now your phone is unstable beyond belief.

The key to resolve way more than 50% of all phone issues:
1. Sync your device with the PC and MANUALLY backup all photos, MP3s and whatever you need.
2. Format the storage card (also goes for the N95 8GB).
3. Flash the firmware or reset the device using the code *#7370#
4. Sync back the stuff from the pc and MANUALLY restore the files you backed up in step 1.
5. Install the soft you need.

I think, we're talking here about an illegal copy op R66 . . . ! 😡

I'd NO probs after updating my N95 . . . !
