Is O2 mobileweb 3G?

Hi
I just got a data bolt-on with O2 and have started to use it for basic web-surfing and stuff on my N95-1 but I never seem to get the '3G' symbol in the top left of the display like i've seen other N95s have. Does this mean that something is wrong?? I live in Colchester Essex.

yes
shows the 3g icon when I am connected.

No, just that you are not picking up a 3G signal wherever you are.

i have problem like that it's b/c your phone can't detect 3G coverage.
At my house i never get a 3G signal but if i go to top of my street i get a good 3G &3.5G signal it just depends where u are, try looking at it again when u are out of your estate

thanks for the replies. I spoke to O2 - my SIM might needed updating and they are sending a new one. The one I got was originally from vodafone about 3 years ago. Let's hope the replacement fixes the problem. BTW I don't think it's a coverage issue as friends with the same phone on O2 get the 3G symbol in the same places I can't.
