Is there a disadvantage to having a n95-2 in the US as far as connectivity?

Nope, it should work perfectly fine.
well yes there is a disadvantage. the n95-2 will not work on 3G networks in the US. the n95-3 and n95-4 will work on US 3G. all n95 variants work on GSM anywhere in the world. but if you're buying an expensive phone, might as well use fancy 3G network with it😊 unless of course your carrier does not have 3G network yet.

yeah, i realized this 2 months after i bought my phone, but it still is pretty fast without the 3G.
