Old text messages appearing when accessing File Manager

4 replies · 3,099 views · Started 28 April 2008

Whenever I connect my N95 to my main PC, if I open up file manager - suddenly loads of text messages that have previously been deleted start re-appearing - both on the PC File Manager and in my InBox on the phone.

And not just that but I get multiple copies of each too. So my nice tidy inbox will go from 20-30 text messages to THREE THOUSAND plus, with sometimes 10 copied of each text message installed.

Thankfully this behaviour doesn't happen when I connect to my laptop - so I don't have to delete them all using the phone.

However it is a real pain not to be able to use the Nokia Phone Browser on my PC to send texts. Every time I try those 3,000+ messages come back.

This didn't used to happen on my main PC, but has been happening for the last 3-4 months now. Have trawled the web looking for someone else who's having this to see if they'd found a solution. But no joy.

So any help would be most welcome.

Any one have any ideas as to where else I might go for help?

Thanks,

Bobby

Yeah, the problem is that it's old old messages, and every time I connect to that PC it seems to generate extra copies of them.

So some messages from last year now appear 10-11 times.

And I think if I left it connected it would just keep going and going and going.

It is a TOTAL PIA - I really love being able to type text messages on my PC - but while this problem is around - I can't 😞

I take it I'm the only one on here with this problem then.

Is it worth going to Nokia directly, and if so, is there a 'best address' to email them at?
