Hi all,
I switched from O2 to T-Mobile UK quite recently, and found that they've started doing really annoying things with their proxy and firewall.
The most annoying thing on a daily basis is the aggressive re-compression of images.
But here's the other thing: I can't connect to AOL Instant Messenger (TCP port 5190 I think) or Jabber (TCP port 5222) via Web'n'Walk. I know they disallow it on this package, and try to sell you Web'n'Walk Plus - but when I used T-Mo before they didn't actually block the ports.
Can anyone tell me if Vodafone UK allow access to Jabber and AIM? I know 3 do, but I don't want to get stuck in a long contract.
Thanks.
