According to note in the FAQ-area of My-Symbian.com, it is possible to make visible the Z-drive for the File-Manager application of a 9210 (via typing ++sp and activating a switch that thereby appears in the settings of the File Manager). This procedure doesn't work for my 9210i (German software version 5.34). Is this excluded in principle for my device or is there a way to get to see the Z-drive in the File Manager of a 9210i?

Not having your exact communicator I wouldn't know, but it may be that Nokia have removed that function from the newer firmwares. Personally I don't see the advantage to seeing the contents of the z: drive.
After you type ++sp, do you see a little window appearing in the top right corner with the letters ++sp in it?
Actually I agree with switchblade...what's the use of looking at drive z since you can't do anything with it?
cmatthee: No, nothing appears when I type ++sp in the File Manager (i.e. typing '+' has an effect in that the folder activated by the cursor expands when it contains a subfolder, but nothing beyond that).
The Godfather/SwitchBlade: I think that you are right that it is not crucial to see the content of the Z-drive. It was just for curiosity and I thought that I could possibly learn something about the organization of the system.

Reboot your 92xx
Go to File Manager
Press ++sp
.
You will see in the top right hand corner of File Manager ++sp
.
Press Menu button
Select Settings
Change Show System - Yes
Change Show Rom - Yes
.
Now Exit File Manager
.
Go back into File Manager and the Z: rom drive will be shown
.
Back again to original with no Rom drive Z: do as above again but select NO when asked to show Rom Drive.
Unfortunately, the procedure you specified doesn't work on my device. (I think that SwitchBlade is correct with his speculation that Nokia removed this function.) Thank you nevertheless.

I think i know... I have 9210 v4.13 and ++sp works. my boss has 9210i 5.34 and does NOT work...maybe Nokia know why... 😃
