Hi,
Just got my new Nokia E90 , unlocked and debranded but have a few questions that i would love someone to answer please....
1: Is there good free push email for the E90? , if so which do you recommend?
2: What is the best sat nav for the E90? , i have used copilot, tomtom, garmin xt on other phones but which is best for the E90?
3: Anywhere i can get free software/shareware/sat nav for the E90?
Many Thanks in advance
Matt :icon14:
I use emoze for Push e-mail and it works well enough. I have also tried System 7. Nokia MfE (Mail for Exchange) is free but I can't get it to work with our Exchange server (I put that down to our "pointy heads" rather than any flaw in MfE).
I'm still waiting for a verdict on SatNav - I'm leaning towards Route 66 but for now I just use Nokia maps and pay for a few days voice guidance when I need it.
Hi Terry,
Thanks for your reply.
Is Emoze free? , and is it "push" email and does it integrate into the e90's own email?
Matt
Yes, yes and yes.
http://www.emoze.com
It pushes from Exchange, POP3 and GMAILl. I use it for my work e-mail (Exchange) and let the E90s messaging application handle my home e-mail (not pushed). Both show as separate inboxes in Messaging.
If you use "active standby", you can choose which e-mail account appears on the standby screen.
Hi Matt
For Push E-Mail i have been using Seven All Ways On Beta as although Seven isn't free the beta is and has been for quite a while now. It is also still getting improved and newer versions added, go to the Seven site and join the Beta to try it. Personally i am very happy with it and will pay for the app once the free Beta ends as it has now spoilt me with it's ease of set up and the amount of customisations that it has both for when you want it run and also which connections it may or may not use.
I don't work for Seven or any resellers of it just a happy user.
For Sat Nav i use Tom Tom 6 as this is my preferred solution and i have used it on all my S60 devices since it was launched. It works fine on the internal screen also but not with the inbuilt GPS only with an external GPS but as that also is my preference it suits me fine.
The only free Sat Nav softwares all use downloaded maps and a Data connection so whilst being free cost you in data use.
