Hello, I've run into a big problem after I updated my N95 8Gb... After the update, I could no longer use GSM and only had the option of UMTS (3G) and Dual Mode. When I run on UMTS (3G) I cant call anyone because when I do it says "Call not allowed" and then the call disconnects. And this happend when I updated from the oldest to the newest version, My phone operator is Three (I've got the pay to talk card). So could anyone tell my either how to reset my phone or make it work with 3G (By the way, Nobody can call me either, everybody from every phone get this message "The number cant be reached from this phone"😉 But it works smoothly with GSM. Thanks.
Newest N95 8GB Update problem...
Surely this would be the responsibility of your provider to have the phone fixed by a Nokia service centre? If that's not the case, just de brand the phone - (see the de branding tutorial sticky thread)
If you've de-branded & upgraded then you may have problems getting 3 to sort it, but if it's the 3 firmware just ring them up.
I've got a similar sort of issue after upgrading mine to v20.0.016 in that the option to choose a network operator manually isn't in the menu with my 3 sim card in, but if I take it out then it's there - I had issues with roaming & not being able to get a 2g signal - I rang them to check why I couldn't roam onto other 2g / 3g networks and shortly after that I was able to use 2g with full network signal strength where previously I had none. They claimed to not have changed any settings on my account etc but I'm not so sure!
