The US Military are to test a new version of Microsoft's PPC OS running on special military hardware.
The Military PPC OS has a fast reboot 'feature'. When it crashes it can be rebooted in 12 seconds. A spokesperson added this 'feature' was a boon because; in battlefield conditions soldiers wouldn't want to spend time trying to get through to technical support!
