When is silent not silent?

Answer - when its an E90 profile!

Everything in my silent profile is set to be off and yet the clock alarms still sound. Is there a way to make the clock honour the system profile?

TIA
Mark

EDIT: My apologies to the author of the CalendarApp. It's the Clock that ignores the system settings!!

First, I personally find that alarms sounding in silent mode is completely indispensible - alarms are to remind me.

Second though, there are some bona fide bugs in silent. "New email" notification still goes off in silent as does charging if it's switched off.

Thanks for commenting. I've never seen the email notification bug but then I use ProfiMail rather than the built in app.
I agree that alarms are to remind but why have profiles if some apps just ignore them? Since my original posting I've just about learned to live with it but I simply cant understand why silent can't mean silent. Back in the old days of my Psion Revo "all sounds off" meant just that. Alarms still went off and gave a visual alert with no sound.

Even turning the phone off doesn't stop alrams sounding and I'm sure that lots of people think this is a great idea too, but I'd like an option somewhere to make sure the thing stays quiet! Maybe I just want to feel that I'm in control.
