I'm running Maps beta 2, but i keep getting the following error:-
application closed: PosServer KERN-EXEC 3
Anyone seen this before or have any ideas how to fix it.

I've tried uninstalling , but it fails... a bit stumped!

I have psiloc connect installed and that's what's causing the error, un-install it and everything is fine. Not a maps 2.0 problem.

No way! how annoying is that! Just paid for connect too.. Think I might email psiloc about it...

Thanks for the info...

Yeah I'm annoyed about it too because I thought it was a maps problem, I've emailed psiloc but no reply as of yet.

Yeah, I've emailed them as well, but no reply.

Really annoying - there seems to be many problems with their DRM copy protection.

I hope they issue a fix, because Psiloc Connect is a really nice program (though it ought to have been built into the phone from the start).

We have confirmed the problem with Nokia Maps 2.0 and we will try to find some solution. As soon as the problem is fixed we will release new version of Psiloc Connect.

and i've confirmed with psiloc support that it'll be a free upgrade when it's fixed. So yay! to psiloc support for the response

I just hope they release it soon.

I'm, going to Paris next week and plan to use Nokia Maps for guiding me around with the new pedestrian mode.

I would prefer not having to un-install Psiloc Connect and reset all my access settings again.

Strange, I've justed checked for update in the app, and it says there are none.

I'll try to re-download and install.

Just re-downloaded and re-installed.

Problem seems gone although the version of Psiloc Connect is the same - it's probably the DRM component that has been fixed.

I have the trial version installed and it's also giving me errors on other applications as well, namely Step Counter and the Carousel GUI you get when you press the media key.

I've just re-downloaded connect and still have the same problem.. Hurry up psiloc and get this fixed

I've factory reset my phone, reinstalled the Maps 2.0 full version (which worked fine) and then installed Connect again and the error has returned...

Very tedious...

I've just reduced the available memory setting of maps down to 50% and it started without error...

No GPS signal yet, but I am inside... we'll see what happens when I leave work...

D

There is a new version of connect for download now, just putting it on my phone to see if there is any difference. Some 'bug fixes' are in the update so fingers crossed....

Ok installed ok and loaded up maps 2.0 and all ok, no error messages so far.. Looks like they might have fixed the problem at last but I'll see how the next few days go : )

Seems to be fixed here too.... awesome... Well done Psiloc!

The new version of Psilock Connect (v1.1) also seems to solve the KERN EXEC 3 error I was getting with Marble Maze and with Step Counter.
