n73 stuck on 3.0704 [SAVE ME]

first off i want to say sorry for posting this in the F/W thread. i realised it wasnt the smartest thing to do, so i have posted as a separate thread. mods dont get angry at me please..

Ive got a Aussie Optus branded N73 which is unlocked and has these settings:

RM133
V3.0704.10.1
Nokia N73(94.01)

prod code 0540032

Frankly, i have been trying to wait for a new firmware for this version phone for forever. the UI is slow, has camera sound, blue tint camera, laggy in general etc and i want to see what i can get out of the phone before i eventually change it.

So, what would be my best option? what firmware should i install? there are soo many out there and i dont know which product code to use with NSS, so please shed some light for me.

This is a 3G phone and i occasionally use it with my "3" sim in australia. Also, by changing firmware would i lock the phone or something? I may have to use random sims in it, such as going overseas etc.

if i change to a different code, and it doesnt work properly with my sim cards again, can i change it back to my original product code and install original firmware?

Also is the music edition firmware better?

actually just found out music edition will get rid of my shortcut key on the side and will become a dedicated music player button. Is this true of the new firmwares as well? Otherwise i may try to instead update to an internet edition firmware?

Any suggestions? i wouldnt mind getting a chinese(traditional) language pack as well.

I am thinking of using this:
0539366 - Hong Kong version region 14 (English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese input)

What is region 14? any shortcoming of using that product code? the newest fw for that is 4.0812.4.3.1

basically i am just worried that if i update fw my phone wont work with the bandwidths around here in Aus (specifically "3" 3g and "Optus" 3G) as i know that changing firmware may cut my reception to different phone transmission freqs

Thanks guys
