N95 8GB 02 image distortion

I have just received my N95 8GB yesterday. 15.0.0.15 firmware version. Everything seems to be working okay with the exception of one major problem.

When I take a photograph, the image is displayed in the preview screen perfectly. However when I access the same image in the GALLERY it is really distorted with block lines across it. I've taken 40+ photos, swapped between mass storage and camera memory, picture resolution, etc, and no difference. Every image has horizontal distortion at different places, yet perfect in preview pane after taken pic!

Is this a common fault? I have searched the forum and google for others that have experienced this problem without success.

Does anyone know a quick fix or should I send it back to O2 and wait patiently for a new one?

My N95-1 was a brilliant hassle free phone. :con?

Update: I backed up and formatted the mass storage and the reloaded it as I see it has fixed video mode problems. It hasn't fixed my problem.

The only difference now is when I take photos and save them to the phones memory they save without flaw. When saved to 'mass storage' they still have block like horizontal distortion.

Why are photos not saving properly to the mass storage?

Any help is greatly appreciated guys.

hi

Have you tried viewing the photo's on your PC? I have noticed some on my pics dont look to good on the phone but are fine on the PC, it could be something to do with the way the thumbnails are created.

I find that straight lines on an angle distort on the phone screen compared to the pc.
