Over on the ‘Obstacles can Kill’ blog, Eric has put away his N95 8GB and switched to his old N-Gage QD for 24 hours to see just how well it would compare to today’s feature packed phones. The result is mixed; while the gaming experience was still unsurpassed, the improvements in the S60 interface render the QD’s v1 interface lacking massive number of tricks and tweaks he has come to rely on.

It's amazing how far things have come in just four years... now we've got QVGA or even higher res screens, 3D chips, TV Out...
The main thing that annoyed me about S60v1 was the way the menus didn't wrap around on each other, if you wanted to go from the top to the bottom you had to scroll through all the options.
kinda interesting article - back then i wasn't too interested in the phones capaibilities - i was only interested in the games (Ashen would have been an awesome PC FPS).
