Exporting contacts

I want to export my contacts to another phone.
I've done a 'backup' which saves as a vCard.

I have vCard reader on my other phone (HTC Wizard on WM6) but when I load up the vCard it has mingled all the data from all the contacts into one single entry.

What do I have to do to get all the contact information individually in vCard form to get it to work on my other phone?

What type of phone do you have/are transferring to?
