Hi
I've just moved from having an N95 with Orange to having an N95 8GB with O2.
I've tried setting up my emails etc, but when connecting via o2 Postpay Wap, it won;t connect to the inbox at all. Same with N-Gage, that won't work either.
Everything works fine via WLAN, so does O2 block these apps does anyone know?
Instead of using Postpay WAP, try using O2 WAP GPRS, that seems to work for me. Although this is what O2 told me to use, for some applications I have to use O2 Mobile Web.
Not sure what the different connections are for anyway ... why don't they just have the one.
Thanks for your help. Didn't think to try a different connection!
I actually called O2 when I got the phone to ask which I should be using, they said the post pay one. Although I have the unlimited web bolt on, so I just hope using one of the other connections doesnt mean I have to pay for it!
I also have the web bolt-on, and so far have used various connections, and not been charged for the data ... hope they are not going to catch up with me
what email account are you trying to link to? google, yahoo, sky etc?
Yahoo. Using the builtin email app though, not yahoo go.
have you added in all the port numbers and put in your full username and password?
i know when setting up Sky emails, it uses googlemail, you have to enable email forwarding, do you have to do this on your yahoo account?
Yeah, I've managed to get it to work via the 02 MobileWeb option rather than Postpay WAP. I don't know why it wouldnt work with postpay though.
I emailed o2 just to check yesterday. Postpay Wap is just for internet browsing, while mobile web is for email, ngage etc, and all is cover by the bolt on.
Still don't know why there would be a difference though!
