Nokia Maps 2 - System Error (-1)

Try erasing the maps via maploader and downloading and installing them again.

Didn't help unfortunately. The full error, i've noticed is :

Standby Mode: System error (-1)

I quite like maps too

Ive had the same issue... and never using Nokia maps, but trying this upgrade reminded me why I never used nokia maps. GRRR..

mine seems ok. It even tells you now if map updates are available when you open map loader.

if you don't who knows what might happen .. if you're getting this and don't have the latest iteration of the firmware for your model then I'd be upgrading.

I don't know for sure that thats your problem .. but they do state this on the download page.

By the way the new version is freaking brilliant .. well at least it knows where I live and I can navigate around my country now 😊

I've always got the new firmware... but cheers for the thought

I've just reduced the available memory setting of maps down to 50% and it started without error...

No GPS signal yet, but I am inside... we'll see what happens when I leave work...
