Hey guys i decided to get 8Gb version!!!!
I had cert for my n95 but i checked and i can no longer get certs.
i noticed "Any application that's UID lock or cr4ck will not get sign"
so how are people signing their apps? is there a 3rd party software that will do it?

theres no way unless you pay $200 to SS for a publisher ID
you can get beta's signed there is a list what symbian signed will allow you to sign you just fill out your details and submit you app and wait for reply
a lot of people will disagree but i think this is a good policy to stop piracy which was killing small dev company's off
I believe most are getting their certificates from the chinese OPDA site. It's free and works as good as those SymbianSigned used to provide. Besides, there's NOTHING illegal about it. So search for 'opda certificates' and learn how to get yours.

If you have V20 or V21 FW (on the N95-1) there's a python script and a couple of programs available that bypass the C: drive protection, and allow you to generate your own certificates, on the handset itself. SelfCert is the main app involved. Unfortunately the process does not work on the N82 and I assume it may not work on the N95-8GB either.
You are probably better off using the OPDA site, if you can, but if not, then try googling for the symbian OS hack I mentioned above.

some with n95 8gb confirm for me that you can ONLY install apps on the interal 100mb and not on the 8GB flash? Thats a lame idea me thinks ......
You can install whereever you want. But the 8GB is a lot slower than the internal mem, so most users prefer the latter. Why make the phone slower than you have to?
hey mate, i know the internal is faster but is the 8Gb slower then the memory card that normal n95 can take or were you just stating that 8GB is slower then the 100mb internal?

Good question. I don't think anyone has actually made any tests on that? But even back on my N95-1 I always installed on the internal mem. Only reason to use the storage for installing things is when you are afraid of running out of space, right?
an update for those who are interested, i got my n95 8GB which was unlocked and had voda firmware so updated to generic and then got installing apps.
I got hold of a 3 year cert from some one for 2 dollors cause i was too lazy 😊
it was worth the upgrade from classic. So many sat nav now didnt know which one to install so installed all... lol
cant wait for n96 now.
