I am thinking about buying a Nokia N95 next week. But I don't know if I should get internet with it. I was wondering if you need internet to access and use the built-in GPS function? and for what other applications do you need internet, except the internet browser of course.
Getting an N95 with no data connection, is like buying a playstation with one game... Great if thats ALL you want but very quickly you find its capable of SO much more.
No you dont need internet to make GPS work but the assited GPS bit from on line helps? or somthing lots of threads about that. Essentialy you dont need Internet for GPS but getting a fix will take longer...
I am sure some one will disagree...

yeah the n95 is a data phone, designed to use 3G. so if you have cheap data plans available, might as well use it.
