Anyone have idea how to detect WHICH application uses my internet connection without my wish or permission? I even suspect nokia maps coz it were installed when this issue started to happen. I doublechecked all apps that everywhere its set up to ask or to use wlan. This usage is so stupid that it tries to connect my wlan when its not available several times and then (in different moments, so i cant tell when exactly) it tries to use gprs (and succeeds with 2 kb data received and 0 kb sent - i think it sends bytes, not kilos). When WLAN is available it sends 9 kb and receives 412 kb - both are 'abouts' but those numbers I wrote are most frequent.
Please, help me to (any of the velow):
1. know how to detect which app or exe or something it is if you had similar problems
2. find app which can monitor installed apps
3. know which exe's in the task list are system and nokia preinstalled and which are not
4. anything helpful
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!
PS. F-Secure and Kaspersky can block whole traffic with logging but it doesn't tell which app did it.
your PC is doing this ?? .. err tried a firewall app like zonealarm .. or heck even windows forewall set really secure will prevent unauthorised apps from accessing "unsafe" zones
Good Luck!😊

Nope, my Nokia N95 8GB is doing this. Im asking for help with my Nokia closed Symbian system. If I only had an open system...
God bless stupidity.

Ok, im almost sure that Nokia Maps 2.0 is the reason of gprs activity. Anyone has LATEST but less than 2.0 sis file with maps?

well what apps do you run in the background? its one of those. and this has nothing to do with symbian being "closed". even though i dont like symbian signed mess either, lets not blame an unrelated thing.
Well, it doesn't neccessarily have to be something you can see running in the background. Mail for Exchange doesn't look like it is running in your task manager, but it will still download emails.
