Has anyone been able to run the mail application towards an IMAP/POP server via the PC in the same manner that you can run the builtin webbrowser/WebView over the PC connection?
Would be great to be able to sync that way when you leave the office and be upto date instead of pulling it all over GPRS since it still is rather expensive :-?
Its the same way via Bluetooth to connect with Webviewer. Just make an empty GPRS (without IP) connection and make it default for messaging! Configure your POP3 or IMAP mail and start.... Works fine for me...

Being able to sync email via PC, without GPRS, is great. But I do not understand the instructions. Can anyone elaborate the setup? -?

Sorry, but I dont understand what you mean.
Cant you sync your Outlook with your P800 or your POP account on your P800?
😮

Hello Michaelm,
Can we surf the Internet via built in web browser in P800 connected to the PC via Bluetooth?
No you cant. Opera will do, later.
Or you have to delete all internet settings.
But you can use "WebViewer".
Go to the download section to find.

Thanks for the help, got it working in a fashion the network connection starts as it should without problems and it downloads the mail fine.
Just that after the sync the mail application hangs and ultimately dies after some minutes with Reason code ViewSrv and Reason number 11.
After that I can restart the mail and it works without problems. Anyone seen this error or know what causes it? Synching over GPRS works without any problems at all.
The P800 goes even further than just sync your e-mail with your PC.
You can setup a POP3/IMAP mail account in your P800 and make it get/send e-mail from your POP3 mail server thru GPRS every 15 minutes at the minimum. This means that wherever you are, as long as GPRS signal is okay, you will know that you have e-mail. My P800 is setup to do that for me.
If I want to reply to an e-mail that arrived I can do that wherever I am and have my reply sent immediately.
Isn't that great. Now your e-mail is like your SMS.
