I can't really believe I'm writing a news story about Calculator, but it's so ubiquitous and built-in to well over 100 million S60 handsets, so.... News from Nokia Conversations is that Calculator is about to get replaced - by a ported version of the Calculator in Nokia's even-bigger-selling Series 40 handsets. The update should appear first in Beta Labs for us all to try, apparently.

I can recommend Solution 2.0 as a calculator, and I believe that there is a J2ME one that works very well too.
Hope they find it in their hearts to take a second look at the PIM as well. Although I must be the 100 millionth Nokia smartphone user to say this.

Calcium is one of my fav calc.
It's FREE, simple, nice UI and the quickest way to operate a calculator on the phones keypad+butttons.
While they're at it, can Nokia please please please use the "recent contacts" feature of Series 40 on the S60 messaging application?
It's actually much quicker easier to send texts on my Series 40 phone because of this feature, it lets you instantly get to your most-used contacts.
Krisse, you use a S40 / non-symbian phone??? Shame!!! 😊
Maybe he's using VERTU ? 😎
Dont knock S40, the 6233 was one of the best phones I have ever owned.
Still got it, cant bring myself to get rid.
That's a great idea! I hate the native s60 calculator. Such a pain to use. I have been using Calcium since day 2.
