Ok, coz nobody answered me in thread "ask me, i'll answer", separate thread.

Anyone knows how to change file associations? For example, application took care of my *.txt files but i dont want to let it happen, i want back my Nokia simple text editor ;P.

How to change it or at least block changing?

Y-Tasks or Y-Browser, I recall, has a feature to change the file associations: http://www.drjukka.com/index.html

Otherwise, you would have to write your own file recognizer application (which is the mechanism Symbian uses for handling the associations; knowing which program to launch, etc.).

AFAIK its only showing them, cannot be edited

Y-Tasks, Filetype plugin, choose MIME type, press Options, choose Map to new app.

Y-tasks isn't included in the Y-browser app. It's a plugin app to y-browser which you have to download from the same page you found y-browser

I have them both, and i have filetypes plugin, and i have no such option.

From opening y-browser it's: options> settings> file associations (browse to the filetype you want to edit) options> modify.

Wow. I would never find it by myself. Thank you.
