E90 owner Attila Katona has a problem. Since upgrading to the E90, he's found that most native S60 games don't make good use of the device's huge screen. With that in mind, here's a record of his mission to seek out games, from any source, that do use the E90's display more effectively.

Please do tell me which emulator you god worms & gobliiins running on. I have a retail copy of gobliiins 2 but couldnt seem to get a mobile ScummVM that supported it.
Thanks
but the only one I found interesting enough to mention (Lament Island) is close to unplayable because of its speed. As in lack of speed.
I should point out the speed of Lament Island is fine on a QVGA screen, you can see it in action on an N93 here:

As Attila points out, the game doesn't have official support for the E90 screen, though it does actually work on the E90 screen at a (much) slower speed.

Gobliiins 3 is running on the latest ScummVM, this is the first version supporting this game properly. as for Gobliins 2: I just tried it that seems to be working fine too.
Worms World Party is a "fan-made version" so I can't really comment on that.
When syncing my E90 phone with a Mac using iSync, the synchronization fails.
When syncing using Nokia Multimedia Transfer version 1.3, I get the message: The list of all files and folders couldn't be fetched. The device refused the operation and returned an error code (32).
Data is valuable. This is not acceptable functionality.
and what has that to do with high resolution mobile gaming?
Ok.. But can you atleast point us to where we can get a copy of Worms ?
I have an E90 and want some of these games, but am unable to get hold of them. Your advice on the "download!" link on the phone for instance for some of them is incorrect - they are not available there on my phone - unbranded. Could you point us in the direction of the links on the web please? Summer Games would be good!
You suggested a list of E90 internal screen favourites. Here are mine:
1 - Quake & Quake II
2 - Lament Island
3 - Global Race
4 - Gravity Defied
5 - Global Race
6 - Dreamway
I love Titanic, Sola Rola, Age of Empires and Real Football 2008, but none of them work on the internal screen. I note that you give Age of Empires as a game working on the internal screen - which version and where from? Mine (version III) fails every time.
Good article - more info needed!
and what has that to do with high resolution mobile gaming?
Because when a device will not function stably with just the built-in operating system, one does not want to be loading it up with more software which might further compromise the stability and occupy the memory.
Dan Din: thanks for the list. I haven't tried Quake yet, I'm more of a puzzler than shooter. is it running quick enough to be fun?
there is a little confusion with the Empires game. it's not Age of Empires but Ancient Empires. and that happened to be the only game on my list which you can buy through the Download! icon.
Summer Games 3 should be available in the software shop of your service provider - if you click on "Where to buy" on the the Summer Games 3 page you can find the right shop for you. it looks really nice, unfortunately it's one of those games I wasn't able snap with the screenshot taker 😞
Pythonista: I'm sorry but I really can't see how a java game can make worse your synchronisation problems. with 80+ megabytes of free RAM there is a lot to "occupy" before you can start worrying about unwanted side effects. if you don't want to put ANY new software on your phone then I think it was a mistake to get an E90 - especially if you are unhappy with it using built-in applications only.
