I have an n80 i have had the same sim card for about 1 years now and the other day for absolutely no reason at all my moby lost all its reception and came up with sim card reg failed!! i really dont understand can any1 tell me why this is and how i get reception

ps I HAVE PUT MY SIM IN AN OLD 3210 AND IT WORKS fine

Possible the phone might have been reported stolen at some point?

No blame but where did you buy it from?

Ouch that could be your problem.

Sim Card Registration occurs when the sim cards home network and all other networks it can pick up reject the connection attempt. Either because the Sim card is faulty or unregistered or the network have blocked for some other reason ( imei being reported stolen is another )

If the sim works in another handset then I would say the person has reported the phone lost / stolen either knowingly / unknowingly that it would brick the handset in the uk.
